My name is Andre, and honestly, I founded TarotPaw for one simple reason: Survival.

For 30 years, since I was a teenager, I carried a heavy “rock” in my bowl—a feeling of being unequal, of not being good enough. When I first started this website, I had zero confidence. I felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff (The Fool), afraid to take the step.

But as I built this space, something changed. I stopped looking down and started looking around. I felt a growing connection—not just to the cards, but to the life I was building.

I was anchored by the only family that mattered: My spouse, who never left my side, and my cats.

I realized that while humans complicate life with “what ifs,” cats are masters of the present moment. They don’t carry the weight of yesterday. They focus on the warm spot of sunlight right now.

That is why TarotPaw exists. Not to predict your future, but to help you find your “sunlight” in the middle of the chaos.

This isn’t a website built by a corporation. It is a legacy built on a promise.

TarotPaw was born from the memory of Titi, a rescue cat from a cow stable who we lost to heartworm. He lived with us for only 2.5 years, but he taught me more about resilience than any human ever could.

When he passed on April 1st, I didn’t find clarity immediately. I was heartbroken. For months, I was lost, convinced that if I had just had more resources, I could have changed the outcome. I spent that time chasing the wrong things, trying to outrun the grief.

It took six months for the fog to lift. It wasn’t a single moment, but a compounding realization that “waiting” for success wasn’t the answer. That is when I finally made a vow: I would stop waiting to start my life. I would build something that could turn this pain into guidance.

This site is run by a team of four experts.

🐾 Bane (The Healer)

Archetype: The Emperor

I didn’t choose Bane; he was a legacy left to us by my spouse’s grandmother. At first, we were worlds apart. I had severe allergies—even hearing his meow would make me sneeze—so for the first two years, I kept my door closed to him.

Then, my world collapsed. I fell into a deep depression that lasted nearly a year. I was terrified of everyone, even my own family. I couldn’t even step outside to take out the trash without checking to make sure the coast was clear. During that time, I lost my savings, because I am not working and my sense of self.

In that isolation, only two beings stayed: my spouse and Bane.

Bane became my pillar. He didn’t care that I was broken or that I had lost everything. He just stayed. Over time, he didn’t just break down the physical door to my room; he broke down the walls around my heart. He miraculously cured my allergies and became the reason I could keep going when my mind wanted to stop. He is living proof that steadfast love can heal the most stubborn wounds.

Archetype: The High Priestess

Rescued from the roadside because she was “invisible” (a black void cat), Mimi sees what others ignore. She reminds us that the quietest cards often hold the loudest messages.

🐾 Cici (The Survivor)

Archetype: Strength

Cici was a feral cat who lived in front of our store. She wouldn’t let us close to her for many days, even though we brought her food, before she came to us cause of hunger. She taught me that trust cannot be forced; it must be earned. She represents the boundaries we all need to set to feel safe.

🐾 Titi (The Founder)

Archetype: The Star

The spirit behind the brand. He is the guiding light that reminds us why we started.

The High Priestess (Lead Interpreter)

Classical Tarot Practitioner

Going with the name of ‘Sya’, with over 5 years of dedication to the craft, our Lead Interpreter brings the human touch to our digital world. She has studied the cards extensively and worked with real clients to navigate their life paths.

She serves as the Human Standard for our engine. Rather than writing code, she tests the heart of the system—cross-referencing the AI’s insights against traditional wisdom to ensure they ring true.

As TarotPaw’s first client (and toughest critic), she tests the Pawracle daily—and frequently finds herself being roasted by the very cards she helps oversee.
